We pride ourselves on being environmentally friendly. We source coffees directly from farmers as much as possible. We give away ALL of our burlap bags our coffee beans come in to whoever wants them, usually local Fort Collins farmers. And we reach out to people who can use the chaff (the coffee skin that comes off during roasting) for composting, chickens, and farming in the community. So when many of our customers were asking us to start making K-Cups, we were torn since K-Cups aren’t necessarily known for being environmentally friendly. But, we have found many ways to make our K-Cups better for the environment.
So, if you’re an environmentally conscious person and you still want to use K-Cups, all you have to do is put the filter in the compost and take the lid and the cup and put it in the recycle. And with our easy-to-pull lids, it is easy to disassemble your cups and take care of the environment!
